As the supervisor for Gaines and Yoakum counties Over my 29-year career I ran and oversaw mill and inlay projects using hot mix and cold lay materials, full depth concrete repair, Flex base repair and replacement and cement stabilization, bridge inspection, bridge column wrap, bridge deck repair, rip rap placement, cavity and void pours in rip rap, armor joint replacement, metal beam guard fence repair and replacement, centerline striping thermoplastic and water base material, raised pavement markers, Fog seal, chip seal, scrub and squeegee seal, and pump station inspection. I was certified in air pot, cylinders, beams and slump with concrete. I have had training in hot mix construction, bridge maintenance inspection, bridge construction inspection, herbicide and pesticide, national incident management command systems, hazmat communication / environmental communication.
I have been involved in the environmental practices of wildlife habitats, species counts, erosion control and vegetation management. I was deeply involved in traffic control setups for work zone safety for our day-to-day operation as directed by the MUTCD part VI of the Manual of Uniform Traffic Control Devices, OSHA and the State Fire Marshal’s Office.
