EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
David has 20 years of experience in engineering design, construction management and inspection, and environmental and safety consulting. His engineering design experience includes projects for higher education institutions, municipalities, and industrial facilities as part of multi-discipline design teams; commercial and residential land development; and development of plans, specifications, and estimate (PS&E) packages for transportation projects.
His construction management and inspection experience, gained from his 6 years with the TxDOT Lubbock District, includes development and review of traffic control plans after changes in construction sequencing and phasing; resolution of utility conflicts; coordination of plan changes among TxDOT, contractors, and consultant designers; field changes and development of “as-built” plan sheets; and oversight and inspection of bridge sub-structure and super-structure construction.
David also has extensive experience as an environmental and safety consultant, having assisted a wide variety of industrial facilities with applications for and negotiations of over 200 air permits, the development and ongoing management of environmental compliance and recordkeeping systems, and the development of safety policies and procedures. As President of R2M Engineering, David now leads a diverse team of engineers, surveyors, safety and environmental professionals, technicians, and administrative support staff. He also serves as Senior Project Manager and Lead Designer for civil engineering projects.
