Confined Space Training

This course is designed to meet the specifications of the OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.146 Permit Required Confined Space. It will give the student the necessary knowledge to enter and work safely inside a confined space such as a manhole, tank, pit, or similar enclosure. Our goal in this course is to equip the student to work safely- not simply to meet the minimum required by OSHA. In order to do so, we combine classroom discussion and demonstration of the typical equipment needed to perform the entry/attendant/supervisor permit required confined space.

Lockout/Tagout Training

Electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, pneumatic, and other forms of energy power 95% of the current workplace. If the energy is uncontrolled, machinery, tools, plumbing, gas lines, outlets, etc. can pose a significant hazard. Death and serious injury can result from an unexpected startup, or the release of hazardous energy.  OSHA lockout tagout safety training and procedures have been developed to safeguard employees from uncontrolled energy.

This course complies with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations for Control of Hazardous Energy (Lockout/Tagout) 29 CFR 1910.147. This course is intended for team leaders, middle managers, human resource personnel, safety and health committee members, and other employees recently appointed to safety and health responsibilities or who are seeking knowledge about the lockout/tagout OSHA regulation. The course objectives will also provide the attendees with information and an understanding of specific elements of a lockout/tagout program.  The topics include:

  • The required steps to conduct an effective LOTO
  • Types and sources of hazardous energy
  • Use of locks/tags, energy isolating devices (EID’s) & other control methods
  • Hands on exercises performing LOTO on electrical boxes, gas lines, and more
