This course provides employers with the resources to comply with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Powered Industrial Trucks Standard 29 CFR 1910.178. This course provides a certification program for individuals who want to train and certify powered industrial truck (i.e., forklift) operators according to OSHA Standards.  Participant trainers will learn from R2M’s industry leading experts the training techniques, communication, operational evaluation skills and ability to train effectively.  The course consists of in-depth classroom instruction, forklift operator evaluations, and hands-on demonstrations and exercises.

Topics in this course will include safe forklift operations, operator equipment evaluation, training techniques, certification procedures and processes, train-the-trainer overview and training manual, OSHA rules and guidelines, tests and answers. Upon completion of this course, students will have gained knowledge of mandatory requirements and will be capable of conducting effective forklift training. Each student will receive a card certifying the successful completion of the Forklift Train-the-Trainer program. Participants will also receive an operator training kit consisting of:

• Reproducible bilingual training materials (presentation, handouts, and quizzes)
• Training Videos
• Sample company safety policy for forklift operators
• Reproducible evaluation forms
• Reproducible certificate and operator card templates
• Copies of applicable OSHA regulations and interpretations
