Competent Scaffold Certification Training

Competent scaffold certification 29 CFR 1926.450 Subpart L, focuses on the safety aspects of scaffolding operations from installation to dismantling and current OSHA requirements.   Topics include but not limited to; supported and suspended scaffolds, inspection, Scissor lifts, electrical hazards, erecting, moving, disassembling, maintaining, fall protection systems, proper handling of materials on the scaffold, and interpretation of related standards.  Competent person means one who is capable of identifying existing and predictable hazards in the surroundings or working conditions which are unsanitary, hazardous, or dangerous to employees, and who has the authorization to take prompt corrective measures to eliminate them.
