R2M Engineering is a Lubbock-based civil engineering, environmental, and safety consulting firm that is seeking an Environmental Engineering Project Manager to join our environmental engineering team. General Job Description

  • Assist with administrative and technical portions of various environmental projects;
  • Assist with managing client regulatory compliance;
  • Prepare air permit applications and submit applications to regulatory agencies for approval;
  • Prepare construction and industrial stormwater plans;
  • Prepare spill prevention control and countermeasure plans;
  • Travel to perform compliance inspections;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or other engineering-related field, or previous work experience in environmental compliance;
  • Experience with Word, Excel, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Adobe PDF, Copier/Scanner;
  • Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions, procedures, and protocols;
  • Must be able to efficiently manage multiple projects and deadlines;
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in a professional manner, both verbally and in writing;
  • Will be required to drive to and from projects and must have a good driving record;
  • Must be able to lift 20-40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods of time;
  • Must be able to sit for extended periods of time working on a computer;
  • Must be willing to travel (as necessary);
  • Must be willing to work hours other than 8 to 5 (as necessary);

Beneficial Skills & Experience

  • Strong background in mathematics;
  • Technical writing and proofreading skills;
  • High attentiveness to detail and ability to read and interpret regulatory language;
  • Knowledge of industrial, construction, manufacturing, or oil & gas production operations;
  • Experience in AutoCAD.
