This course complies with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Powered Industrial Trucks Standard 29 CFR 1910.178. We take the time to verify each trainer’s knowledge, operational skills and ability to teach effectively. The course consists of classroom instruction as well as hands-on demonstrations and forklift operator evaluations. Trainers will gain confidence and receive actual classroom training experience.

Topics in this course will include safe forklift operations, operator equipment evaluation, training techniques, certification procedures and processes, train-the-trainer overview and training manual, OSHA rules and guidelines, tests and answers. Upon completion of this course, students will have gained knowledge of mandatory requirements and will be capable of conducting a forklift training class. Each student will receive a card certifying the successful completion of the Forklift Train-the-Trainer program. Participants will also receive an operator training kit consisting of:

• Reproducible bilingual training materials (presentation, handouts, quizzes)
• Training Videos
• Sample company safety policy for forklift operators
• Reproducible evaluation forms
• Certificate and operator card templates
• Applicable OSHA regulations

These resources provide an estimated value of $1,200–$1,500 and are designed to help trainers immediately begin conducting in-house forklift training programs.
