EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND
Roger brings over 25 years of expertise in safety and environmental regulatory affairs, making him a seasoned professional in the field. His extensive experience includes managing state and federal air permitting, industrial hazardous waste management, SWPPPs, SPCCs, environmental site assessments, and EHS project management. Roger is also adept at safety program development and bi-lingual safety training, having conducted more than 50 environmental and safety compliance inspections for private sector clients.
In his role as Principal in Charge of Private Sector Safety Management, Roger has developed and managed safety programs for 20 monthly service contracts. His responsibilities encompass everything from safety training and inspections to risk assessments, accident investigations, job safety analysis, and safety committee meetings. Roger has also contributed to the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce by developing online safety training presentations for its members.
Roger’s project management experience includes leading the abatement of OSHA compliance investigations for Royal Baths Manufacturing LLC in Houston, TX, where he conducted industrial hygiene surveying. He also served as the Senior Project Manager for the Marsha Sharp Freeway Soil & Groundwater Management Plan, overseeing soil and groundwater sampling, confined space monitoring, and permit acquisition for the project. Additionally, Roger managed general safety consultations for the McDougal Company’s Centre Project, ensuring subcontractor compliance with safety policies during construction.
